India women and England women played a T20I match in the ongoing T20I triseries. England women had defeated the Australian women in their first match, while India women lost to Australia women in theirs.

India women batted first and scored 198/4 in 20 overs. The best scorers for India women were Smriti Mandhana, who made 76 off 40 balls, Mithali Raj (53) and Harmanpreet (30).

England women’s chase was totally dependent on a smashing 124 from Danielle Wyatt, who took 64 balls and hit 15 fours and 5 sixes. Tammy Beaumont hit 35 runs to take England to a wonderful win by 7 wickets.

Many Indian fans will remember Danielle Wyatt as the ardent Virat Kohli fan, who asked him to marry her. Virat, in reply sent her a signed bat and it seems that Kohli also sent Wyatt some form as well with the bat. This was clearly evident from the way Wyatt carted every India bowler around the ground.

Now India women have lost both their matches in the tri-series, while England women have won both of theirs, with Australia in middle of the points table with one win and one loss.
