Indian Test wicketkeeper-batsman –Wriddhiman Saha has had a great start of the preparation for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, where he will turn up for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

As IPL 2018 is just around the corner, starting from 7 April, the teams have already started their preparatory camp before heading into the lucrative T20 tournament, but Saha chose to play in a JC Mukherjee Trophy, where he warmed up for the IPL 2018 in a stunning way.

Saha has expressed his explosive side even before the start of the IPL, as the right-hander hammered a jaw-dropping 20-ball century to help Mohun Bagan to thrash BNR Recreation Club by 10 wickets in the Bengal’s T20 tournament in Kalighat on Saturday.

In his match-winning knock of 102 runs off 20 balls, the 33-year-old ‘keeper hit 4 boundaries and 14 sixes at an astonishing strike rate of 510. With the stunning knock, Saha has made the world record, as he has become the fastest Indian to reach the three-figure mark in an official game. The 17 is the fewest deliveries taken by a batsman to score a hundred in an official match.

Meanwhile, BNR Recreation Club were all out at 151/7, in reply, Saha came to open innings for the Mohun Bagan, as his 102* and Subhomoy Roy’s 43* off 22 balls were sufficient to win the match, eventually, Bagan won the match in just seven overs in Kalighat.

This is not the first time when Saha scored a century in a T20 match, as he already smashed an unbeaten 115 off 55 balls in the 2014 IPL final. It was definitely great news for the SRH which bought him for INR 5 crore for his services in the IPL 2018.
