Dinesh Karthik became an overnight star when his last-ball six against Bangladesh that helped India clinch the Twenty-20 tri-series on Sunday (March 18).
Chasing Bangladesh’s target of 167 runs, India required 34 runs in the last 2 overs and Karthik was able to manage turn things around from the word go. By scoring 22 runs in the penultimate over off Rubel Hossain meant India needed 12 runs in the 20th over, Karthik launched Soumya Sarkar over extra cover in the final delivery to seal the deal. He finished the series with breathtaking knock of 29 off 8 balls.
For his unreal heroic, the Tamil Nadu batsman is now rightfully getting accolades from the fans and media. Recently, India’s leading food product organization – AMUL acknowledged the brilliance of Karthik by making a creative of his name that states “DINESH KARATTACK”.

It is worth mentioning here that, Karthik didn’t get out throughout the Twenty-20 series and notched up the scores of 13*, 2*, 39*, 2* and 29*. Moreover, he has recorded the scores of 37, 64*, 4*, 0 and 26* ever since his return to the ODI squad in October 2017.
