India went to play Nidahas Trophy tri-series with a bunch of young players and rested the senior cricketers.

It did go well for men in blue as it gave the newly emerged cricketers an opportunity to showcase their talent. All-rounder Washington Sundar impressed everyone with his performances and jumped to 31st place from 151st in the ICC T20I player ranking with his career-best 496 points.

Sundar was named Man of the Series, where he picked 8 wickets with an average of 14 and conceded just 114 runs in his 20 overs through the series.

Yuzvendra Chahal also has a career-high 706 points in the ranking. The leg-spinner now stands at number two spot. Chahal also picked up 8 wickets in the series and conceded runs with an economy of 6.45 runs per over.
