Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman –Kamran Akmal, who is known for his quick-scoring ability, has been in the mind-blowing form in the domestic circuit, as well as, in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018, but there is still no chance of his national return.

Head coach – Mickey Arthur ruled out chances of the 36-year-old right-hander's inclusion to the side, saying they are looking forward to the young team.

On Friday (16 March), Kamran smashed 107* hitting seven 6 sixes and 11 fours to help Peshawar Zalmi keep their PSL 2018 campaign alive by defeating Lahore Qalandars by seven wickets at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

As per Ary News, Arthur said, “Look, you never say never. I think, to be brutally honest, we have a young team and we are looking forward. He played terrific today but again the old comes back….. Where does he field with Sarfraz (Ahmed) is wicket keeping. There are a lot of things to weigh up. We have got a Twenty20 side that is number one in the world and there are not going to be many changes.”

Arthur, who is currently coaching Karachi Kings in the PSL 2018, is happy to see his team in the second spot on the points table with 11 points after beating the table topper Islamabad United by 7-wickets on Friday.

Now, the Kings will take on the Islamabad in the PSL 2018 Qualifier on 18 March in Dubai.

Mickey signed off by saying, “Last year we played them in the eliminator and we beat them to get into the second eliminator and its sort of a deja vu but this is a different thing with the first two place. It will be a different game with Ronchi, Sami and Patel back so it will be a different scenario.”
