Shahid Afridi registered a record in Pakistan Super League (PSL) as per his reputation.
He smashed four consecutive sixes in the match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi. However, it didn't avoid the defeat of his team as Peshawar won their must-win encounter by 44 runs to help them remain in contention for a spot in the play-offs.
Karachi Kings got a shaky start with Joe Denly, Colin Ingram, Eoin Morgan and Ravi Bopara back in the dressing room and their scorecard read 62/4. Soon after Bopara was dismissed by Liam Dawson, Afridi launched a counter-attack. He hit Sameen Gul, the 19-year-old pacer for three consecutive sixes and Dawson was spanked for the fourth one. His attempt to repeat it for the fifth time cost him his wicket.

Earlier in PSL 2018, Afridi had caught a blinder which left spectators rubbing their eyes in disbelief. When everyone thought the ball was sailing over the boundary rope, Afridi jumped and plucked the ball from air to steal the show. It was the second match of the PSL between Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings.
