Marcus Stoinis, Adam Milne to play for Kent in 2018 T20 Blast

New Zealand's young pace sensation –Adam Milne and Australian all-rounder –Marcus Stoinis have been signed up by the Kent County Cricket Club for the upcoming 2018 T20 Blast.

It is learned that Milne, who is all set to rejoin Kent camp and has taken 15 wickets at an average of 12.46  last season, is available for the entire season, but Aussie right-hander Stoinis will only play the last nine of Kent's 14 group-stage matches.

In the last two days, Kent has signed three players – Matt Henry, who will play first seven T20 Blast matches, Milne and Stoinis for the County Championship and the One-Day Cup.

As per BBC, Kent director of cricket Paul Downton said of Milne and Stoinis, “Bowlers of Adam's pace and skill are rare and we believe he can be a match-winner for us in this format. Marcus is a dynamic cricketer who will add depth to our batting and bowling in the T20 Blast.”

The 25-year-old Milne, who was the top wicket-taker in the 2017 competition for Kent, has played 40 ODIs and 19 T20Is, taking 41 wickets and 21 wickets respectively for the Black Caps.

On the other hand, Stoinis has played only 7 T20Is and 13 ODIs for Australia and has played for Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab and Melbourne Stars in the respective T20 events –IPL and BBL.

Kent will kick off their T20 Blast campaign against Surrey on 6 July.
