Legendary Pakistan fast bowler –Waqar Younis, on Wednesday, went on to claim that the quality of bowling in Pakistan Super League (PSL) is better than any other T20 league in the world.

The ongoing third edition of the PSL 2018 has been the witness to many breathtaking bowling performances so far, likes of – Mohammad Sami's fiery bowling in the last over, which was the tournament’s first ever super-over, and the 17-year-old Shaheen Afridi, who represents Lahore Qalandars, produced one of the most lethal spells of fast bowling in T20 cricket against Multan Sultans, which made headlines across the world.

Speaking to ESPNCricinfo, Waqar said, “I think the quality of bowling in PSL is better than any league in the world if you look around.”

Though, the former Pakistan coach admitted that the pitches for PSL 2018 are not batting oriented, saying, “Of course the pitches are not batting oriented. The pitches are not flat where you can just hit through the line and the ball will fly over. Over here you really have to graft your innings, you've got to be sensible, smart, which I think makes this PSL more interesting.”

He signed off by saying, “I don't mind low scoring games as long as people enjoy a good bowling attack. I enjoy it and this is something very different and unique.”

The PSL 2018 playoffs are scheduled to be played on March 20 and 21 respectively at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, while the final will be played on March 25 at the National Stadium, Karachi.
