Without an iota of doubt, Indian cricket heartthrob Virat Kohli ranks among the finest cricketers of the modern generation, if not the very best. Kohli is adored by masses all across the globe and one of the noteworthy names in his enriched admirer’s list is England women's cricketer, Danielle Wyatt.

Such is Wyatt’s craze for Virat that she had once proposed the Indian captain to marry her on micro-blogging site Twitter. Her proposal came right after Kohli’s match-winning 72* runs innings in the semi-final of ICC World T20 2014 against South Africa in Dhaka.

"Kholi marry me," Wyatt had written in her official Twitter page back in April 2014.

Danielle Wyatt’s tweet had created a lot of buzz across the cricket fraternity at that time and even now the cricket fans often tease her by retweeting that post.

"Ten minutes later, I picked my phone up and I have got 1000s of favorites and retweets, it's all over Indian news, they're emailing my dad at home," Wyatt told ESPNCricinfo.

As it turns out, Wyatt got a chance to interact and take a picture with Kohli when Team India toured England back in 2014. During their brief meeting, Virat had advised Wyatt to not post such stuff on social media platforms as he believed some folks were taking things seriously.

"When we met, he [Kohli] said to me: 'You cannot do things like that on Twitter! They take things seriously!' I was like, 'okay. Sorry!'," she added.

The Indian captain had also gifted one of his bats to Wyatt during their meeting at Derby. The England star described the willow as "a beast" and revealed that she is preparing to use it in England’s upcoming T20I tri-series against India women and Australia women scheduled between March 22 and April 3 in Mumbai.

"The bat I hit the century with broke not long ago. So now I'll be using Virat's," Wyatt said.

The 26-year-old Danielle Wyatt had blasted the third fastest hundred in women's T20I history (56-ball 100) in her last international innings in November 2017. Her historic innings had helped England clinch a 2-1 win in a three-match T20I series against Australia Down Under.
