Pakistan Super League’s third edition is in progress in United Arab Emirates and the action is literally heating up as the teams get closer to the business end of the tournament. In a heavyweight clash between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans, Pakistan’s Ahmad Shahzad and Mohammed Amir indulged in a war of words with a few gestures thrown at each other.

The two are quite fiery characters and in a clash that holds major importance for both teams, tempers flared and eventually saw the clash between two players who have represented Pakistan together on many occasions. This incident comes on the back of the clash between Rahat Ali and Imad Wasim where the left-arm seamer was seen giving Karachi Kings skipper a send-off followed by a heated exchange of words.

The two players didn't stop there and had another go at each other before veteran Kumar Sangakkara stepped in and cooled down his fellow opener.

Islamabad United sits at the top of the points table currently, with 10 points from 7 matches. Top four teams from the 6-team tournament will progress to the playoffs which are set to be played in Pakistan. The final will be played on March 25 in Karachi.
