PCB announces schedule for West Indies vs Pakistan T20Is

Initially, West Indies were scheduled to visit Pakistan in the last week of March.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman –Najam Sethi has confirmed that West Indies will be touring Pakistan for the three-match Twenty 20 International series next month.

Initially, West Indies were scheduled to play the T20I series in the last week of March, but now they will tour Pakistan in April 2018.

According to a report in Daily Pakistan, Sethi told media at National Stadium Karachi on Monday, “West Indies will be touring Pakistan in April. They will play three Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) on 1st, 2nd and 4th of the month at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.”

Currently, Pakistan players are busy in playing in the ongoing third edition Pakistan Super League (PSL) which will end on March 25, while Windies are playing the ICC World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe to qualify for the 2019 World Cup in England.

PCB Chief went to further said that the scheduled tournament between Pakistan and the West Indies will be played after the conclusion of the PSL2018. Sethi is also hoping to host at least one match in Karachi he will request the Windies Cricket Board regarding the same.

Sethi signed off by saying, “The West Indian Cricket board have signed a contract to play three matches in Lahore, but I will try to convince the board to play at least one match in Karachi.”

Currently, Windies are fighting it out in the ICC World Cup 2018 qualifiers where they have got to a winning start by defeating UAE by 60 runs. They face Papua New Guinea next on Thursday.
