Pakistan is an untapped mine of cricketing bowling talent that keeps on giving and giving. Talents like Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Saqlain Mushtaq, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohd Amir and many more just keep enthralling the audience on world stage.
Recently, a video went viral, which showed a little kid bowling in his backyard. Everyone was impressed by the kid, who bowled left arm fast and swung the ball prodigiously. Even Pakistani great Wasim Akram shared the video and asked where the boy was from.
Now it has been learnt that the boy is 6-year-old Hasan Akhtar from Chichawatni district of Punjab province, Pakistan.
Geo News interviewed little Hasan, who said, “I’ve been playing cricket ever since I started school, and my favourite cricketer is Wasim Akram.”
Hasan is known to practice 3-4 hours in his backyard and emulates his idol Akram. “It would be my good fortune if Wasim Akram coaches me,” he said excitedly.
Hasan’s father is a farmer and has encouraged his passion for the game. Already a pace sensation in the neighborhood, Hasan has scared even the bigger and older boys with his speed.
