"Are overseas players not giving full efforts in Pakistan Super League (PSL) to save themselves for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) edition?" This is the question PSL team owners are asking themselves.

They are not happy with some of the overseas players, who they suspect are not going all out, in order to avoid fatigue issues before the IPL 11.

"Joffra Archer is one example. He is playing for Quetta Gladiators and he pulled out of a crucial match and this didn't exactly make the owners, management or fellow players happy," a source said.

IPL will be starting from 7th of April, just a few weeks after PSL final, which is on March 25. The source said the Quetta Gladiators owner, Nadeem Omar, didn't say anything to Archer, but suspected the all-rounder wants to stay fit for the Indian Premier league. 

Archer, who made headlines after his wonderful performance in BBL, is sold to Rajasthan Royals in USD 800,000. 

Not only Archer, even Dwayne Bravo's omission from PSL has made Peshawar Zalmi unhappy. The West Indies cricketer is yet to show up in the third edition. Zalmi depends heavily on the all-rounder who is reportedly yet to fully recover from an injury and reach Dubai.

"It is not about the money but when you lose a player of high caliber it upsets the teams plans," one source said.

Bravo will play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) this year as he was retained by the franchise in USD one million.

Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt rated IPL on top and said players want to get recognized in IPL. "Top players would prefer to be in the IPL 100 percent fit and in fresh. Because if you perform there you get richer and noticed quickly."
