Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen grabbed the headlines on Wednesday (February 28) for guiding Quetta Gladiators to a six-wicket victory over Islamabad United in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah.
The 37-year-old scored a 34-ball 48 as the Gladiators chased down United’s target of 135 with 17 balls to spare. It was the second win for the Islamabad-based franchise in their three games thus far.
Addressing the post-match press conference after his match-winning innings, Pietersen was asked whether he will travel to Pakistan if Quetta qualifies for the play-offs. The former England captain without taking much time shook his head and responded back by saying no.
