Well known Bollywood actress Sridevi’s demise on 24^th February, 2018 left the nation in shock. The 54-year-old actress died under mysterious circumstances in Dubai, where she had gone to attend the wedding of her nephew Mohit Marwah, along with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Jahanvi.

It was first reported that Sridevi died due to a massive cardiac arrest, but slowly mystery shrouded her death, as post-mortem report concluded that she had died by accidental drowning. According to reports, she also had alcohol in her blood and media speculated that she had drowned in the bathtub of her hotel room in a drunken state.

Various new channels ran day long programs on their TV shows suggesting how Sridevi might have died. Now India off-spinner R Ashwin, who was recently made the captain of KXIP for IPL 2018, has raised the question on the whole media circus that formed around the death of a beloved actress.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “I am sure the family is grieving Sridevi’s death, we the nation want to know or create more grief? Bizarre #RIPSridevi #cantwewait”

Media speculated everything from drugs, to botched lip surgery and even murder conspiracy as a cause of Sridevi’s death.
