Chris Lynn who survived a shoulder dislocation in the tri-series final against New Zealand was ruled out of the PSL owing to his rehabilitation for the injury.  According to latest reports, Lynn will not need to undergo a surgery in his right shoulder, which comes as a great news to his KKR fans. 

After injuring his shoulder, Lynn had subsequently withdrawn from the Pakistan Super League. However, he is now hopeful of playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League, commencing from April 7. The Queensland batsman is expected to start rehabilitation on his shoulder once the joint settles down.

"Chris got a positive result from the doctors who said he will not need surgery,'' Lynn's manager Stephen Atkinson noted. "Chris is disappointed at missing the Pakistan Super League but he will be making every effort to play in the Indian Premier League and, if selected, the five one-dayers for Australia in England in June.," he added.

Lynn injured his right shoulder while trying to save a single fielding at midwicket inside the 30-yard circle. He slid awkwardly causing damage to his right shoulder. He clutched his shoulder in pain before the medical staff rushed him off the field to assess the injury. 

Lynn survived a similar injury in the IPL last year which ruled him out of the season for KKR. The franchise after paying almost 10 crores would dearly not want their prime batsman to miss the IPL yet again due to the same injury. 

The middle-order batsman, however, recovered ahead of schedule and played for the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League 2017, compiling 136 runs at an average of over 45. He was then selected for the T20I tri-series also involving England and New Zealand.
