Young Afghanistan leg-spinner –Rashid Khan on Tuesday has become the youngest ever bowler to rise up the rankings of the ICC rankings. Rashid is currently second in the list of T20I bowlers rankings and second in ODIs as well.

His Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) –Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, teammate, and skipper –David Warner couldn’t hide his excitement and went on social media to congratulate Rashid on his latest achievement (at the age of 19 years and 153 days).

The 19-year-old, whose international career is just three years old, has joined India pacer Jasprit Bumrah at the top of the ICC rankings with his 16 wickets against Zimbabwe in the latest ODI series, which helped Afghanistan to clinch the series with 4-1.

So far, Rashid, who is considered as one of the most successful wrist spinners in the world at the moment, has played 37 ODIs for Afghanistan and took 86 wickets at 13.26. The Afghan spinner, who has the ability to bamboozle any batsmen in the world at any pitch and conditions with his magical bowling, has been a vital cog in the success of the national team, which was recently awarded Test status by ICC.

The spinners’ success is not only confined to international cricket but also a huge influence in T20 leagues, as he has already part of all mega T20 events across the world –IPL, BBL, CPL, PSL, and even he was also signed by Sussex County Cricket Club to play in the NatWest t20 Blast in England last month.

Having played for SRH in the last season, Rashid will now get a chance to play with Warner as he was brought up for the IPL 2018 for INR 9 Crore by the franchise.  Young Rashid Khan is less than three years old in his international career but his reputation and ranking rise with every passing match and series.

On 20 February, Warner took to Twitter to congratulate the youngsters and wrote, ‘Legend @rashidkhan_19 well-done mate’
