Yuzvendra Chahal has taken the Indian cricket by storm since his debut for India in 2017. First he picked up 6/25 against England in a T20I match and then along with Kuldeep Yadav, has formed a lethal spin bowling combination.

Chahal had a wonderful ODI series against South Africa in South Africa, where he picked up 16 wickets, including his first ODI five wicket haul; for which he also won the Man of the match award. He bowled well in the first T20I at the Wanderers as well. However, he was seen fielding while wearing his glasses; something he didn’t used to do earlier.

Chahal wears glasses in dressing room, but never on field and now it has been revealed that Chahal has been asked to wear glasses on field as a precautionary measure.

His father KK Chahal revealed the reason behind his son wearing glasses while speaking to Mid-Day.com, saying, "Before going on the tour to South Africa, Yuzvendra was advised by an eye specialist to wear glasses occasionally. So, though he does not wear them while bowling or batting, he does so while fielding.

His eye sight is not very weak but he was advised to use glasses when he underwent medical tests which were compulsory before taking up his new job as an Income Tax inspector. Yuzvendra will be joining office in Delhi as soon as he returns from South Africa", he added.

Chahal will be playing in the remaining two T20Is against South Africa and then will be seen in the IPL 2018 for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
