India U-19 team won the World Cup recently. They have been hitting the headlines for their impact in the ICC tournament. India came out to be the most dominant team in the major event because of a strong team unit.

A bunch of young players have received a lot of applause after the U-19 World Cup. Senior India cricketer Suresh Raina is among those who has trained with them.

As per Times of India reports, Raina revealed that he has been spending a lot of time with youngster from the batch, Shivam Mavi and Manjot Kalra. He admitted that they are indeed very impressive in their respective traits.

“The boys really played well and the credit goes to the coach of the team Rahul Dravid and captain Prithvi Shaw. At this stage, it really makes a difference if you have had coaches and administrators who can lead you. I have been meeting these boys – Shivam Mavi and Manjot Kalra from Delhi – and what I always tell them is that one should always live in the present. All these guys – like many of us – have come from middle-class families, and are now celebrities,” Suresh Raina said.

Raina has made a comeback to the Indian side. He played for India in the first T20I against South Africa in Johannesburg recently. He added that it's a good feeling to get rewarded for the hard work.

“Jab cricket se shohrat milti hai, paisa milta hai, achha lagta hai, par uske saath responsibility bhi aati hai. It will be a challenge for them to be consistent in their performance. Now, there is so much pressure on players that every second player is good enough to fill in your shoes, so you have to perform in every match. Everyone is working hard and cricket is also a game of luck – that’s what I believe,” he added further.
