England fast bowler –Stuart Broad is working on changes to his bowling action ahead of his Team’s tour to  New Zealand next month in a bid to reach the landmark of 400 Test wickets.

The pacer needs the just one wicket to achieve this landmark and he might achieve it only during the first Test against the Black Caps. The two-match Test series will start from 22 March in Auckland, while England’s tour will start with a  One Day series starting 25th February in Hamilton.

Although Broad has never been an out-and-out swing bowler, over the past 18 months he has effectively lost his ability to move the ball away from right-handers, as he has bowled to a lot of left-handers and in several series on slower pitches in the sub-continent.

The 31-year-old had received heavy criticism for his worst Test figures of zero for 142 in the third Ashes Test in Perth, but the pacer made a stunning return in the next Test when he was the most effective bowler bagging five wickets in the Melbourne Test.

Throughout 2017, the pacer found difficult for himself to get Test wickets, struggling to move the ball away from right-handers, despite this, Broad finished with 30 scalps at 36.06 - his highest average since 2010.

On 13 February, Broad went on the social media to explain how he is working on his bowling by sharing two videos. His post reads on Twitter, “Working on my action to get more side on. More twist in my shoulders to get my front arm more towards the target, helping my feet align much better. Walkthroughs give me a great feel of how my body is moving. Some balls come out great, some horrible, but I always say try different things in training cause if something clicks for you it can help your game, no one cares if you get it wrong in the aim for improvement!”
