Australia skipper Steve Smith and his long-time girlfriend Dani Willis are all set to take their relationship to a different level. The lovebirds are planning to tie the knot with each other in September 2018.

The couple confirmed the news while speaking to cricket.com.au after the conclusion of Allan Border medal ceremony on Monday (February 12) in Melbourne. It is worth mentioning here that Smith was crowned with the Allan Border Medal for his dominant 12 months with the bat. The Australian captain also secured the Test Player of the Year award during the Allan Border Medal night.

“Yes, we are looking around September,” Dani told cricket.com.au when asked about their plan to get married.

Smith, who has scored 1754 runs at an average of 67.46 across all international formats in last one year, was also named ICC Test Cricketer of the Year last month. The 28-year-old is all set for another hectic year as Australia are scheduled to tour South Africa, England, UAE (to play Pakistan) and Zimbabwe this year. The Aussies will also host Bangladesh, South Africa and India later this year.

Moreover, Smith will be taking part in the cash-rich India Premier League for close to two months. No wonder, Dani Willis isn’t quite certain about her future husband finding time for the wedding day.

“Hopefully Steve will be around,” Dani amusingly said.

“Of course, I will have to be around,” Smith retorted.

After years of relationship, the adorable couple got engaged in July 2017 when the Australian skipper proposed Dani on top of the famous Rockefeller Centre in New York.
