Priya Prakash Varrier, the Malayali actress who turned into India's national crush overnight on social media, has named MS Dhoni as her favorite cricketer. Priya, in an interview to India TV, revealed about her favorite cricketer. "Dhoni is my favorite cricketer," she said.

Priya's claim to fame was due to her looks and that wink in the teaser of film Oru Adaar Love. The song "Manikya malaraya poovi" in her movie gained almost 10,000,000 views on YouTube till Tuesday evening.

She made history on Instagram by gaining 2.5 million followers in no time and the 18-year-old has also got a blue tick after the viral video. 

Dhoni being Priya's favorite didn't come as a surprise. The southern part of India has a special place for Dhoni in their heart, thanks to his association with IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. The fans in south India adore their 'thala'.

No wonder the return of Chennai Super Kings also meant return of Dhoni in yellow jersey. Dhoni will be leading CSK again in the upcoming IPL 2018 season, after a gap of two years.
