Kamlesh Nagarkoti gets Rs 25 lakhs reward by Rajasthan government

Nagarkoti impressed with his speed and skills in U19 World Cup recently.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje congratulated Kamlesh Nagarkoti and announced a cash award of Rs 25 lakh for the cricketer in her budget on Monday.

The pacer had taken cricketing world by storm after his outstanding performance in the U19 World Cup and played a major role in India U19's win in New Zealand. 

Jaipur resident 18-year-old's had everyone glued to his bowling during the U19 World Cup. He was easily clocking the speed in excess of 140 KPH at this young age. The young speedster also showed control with line and length, which made his bowling sharp. 

Nagarkoti's golden run with the ball also saw him getting a deal at the IPL 2018 auction.

Kolkata Knight Riders bought the young pacer for a price of Rs 3.2 crore at the auction last month. "When I came to know that I will be part of KKR, I was pleased to get an opportunity to with both Kallis and Katich. There is so much to learn from someone like Kallis and the experience of working with him will definitely make me a better cricketer," Nagarkoti had told TOI. 

The pacer in his recent talk with Times of India had also spoken about adding variations to his bowling. Nagarkoti said the pace is what he needs, but he would also like to bring in variety. "I want to work on adding more variations to my bowling," he said.
