Shiv Sena Chief –Uddhav Thackeray felicitated ICC U19 World Cup winning skipper –Prithvi Shaw on Thursday in Mumbai. Thackeray, who recently met Shaw at his residence ‘Matoshree’ in suburban Bandra, also assured him to help in ending his housing issues.
According to a report in Press Trust of India, Uddhav Thackeray said, “Prithvi Shaw should concentrate on his game and not worry about a house. We will not let him face any difficulty. I do not have words to describe Prithvi’s achievements. He has made us proud.”
Recently, Shiv Sena MLA –Sanjay Potnis met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, urging that Shaw be given a house in Mumbai, as the youngster used to reside at Virar, though he had made arrangements for him to stay at the SRA colony in Vakola.
Today, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao felicitated Shaw at the programme held at the Raj Bhawan, as well as, India U19 bowling coach Paras Mhambrey was also honored at the programme. In the ceremony, State Sports Minister Vinod Tawde, BJP MLA and Mumbai Cricket Association president Ashish Shelar were also present there.
