Prithvi Shaw –led India U-19 Team is still celebrating the success of the World Cup 2018 and are yet to get over the frenzy. However,  former Indian cricketer turned cricket commentator –Sanjay Manjrekar warned them to not get too carried away with the historic triumph.

Under the guidance of cricket legend –Rahul Dravid, the Boys in Blue made history by winning the World Cup for the record fourth time and become the most successful side in the history of the prestigious U19 tournament. India won all matches that they have played in the tournament in New Zealand.

It was surely a proud moment for every Indian, Team Management, and player, but Manjrekar believes that the youngsters should come out from their World Cup triumph and focus on their game to see themselves in the senior national team.

He went to further added that there are very few players who succeed in taking this success to the highest level, so they should not live up with the World Cup triumph for a long time and focus on their game and work hard to become successful at the senior level like they did in the U19 events.

Manjrekar went on his official Twitter handle and shared an eye-opening message for the U19 stars, “Important to not get too carried away by Under 19 triumphs. From 2010 to 2016, off the 64 players that played in WCs, only 2 have made a real mark at the highest level. #RealityCheck”
