Pravin Amre, Ajit Agarkar praise Prithvi Shaw after U19 World Cup title

Shaw joined Mohammed Kaif, Virat Kohli and Unmukt Chand as India Under-19 captains to have lifted the World Cup.

Pravin Amre –Former Indian cricketer and Chief of Delhi Daredevils’ Talent Hunt, was in awe for India U19 skipper Prithvi Shaw, who led the side to World Cup 2018 triumph, saying the way he led the side in the big ICC event in New Zealand was commendable. 

The 18-year-old right-hander who often stolen the headlines with his stunning show with the willow whether be it for Mumbai or Indian Team has always succeeded to grab the eyeballs.

According to a report in Sport Star, Pravin Amre, “I am happy for him. He has the knack of being in the spotlight due to his performances ever since he started scoring big in school cricket. Besides displaying his improvement as a batsman, I think the way he led the side was creditable.”

Meanwhile, Ajit Agarkar –former Indian pacer and current Mumbai Chief Selector, said, “He has been doing extremely well for us (Mumbai) and he is extremely confident in his abilities. Over the last year, he has definitely tightened up a bit as a batsman and has got bit smarter about his cricket.”

Amre also credited U19 coach Rahul Dravid for the national team’s exceptional growth and success in the World Cup 2018. He signed off by saying, “No doubt he had the luxury of having an exceptional coach in Rahul Dravid but to manage the team the way he did on the field reflected in the victories.”
