Rahul Dravid as a coach is what any rookie cricketer would want. Dravid, who has a good cricketing sense, calm and a determined brain helped India U-19 to clinch the U19 World Cup title.

Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane heaped praise on the current India U-19 coach. The junior team has performed really well under Dravid's stint as coach.

"I watched a little bit (of the match) in the morning. I saw their celebrations and was really happy the way they celebrated. It's a proud moment for all of us," Rahane said.

India U19 were exceptional in the final. They hardly faced any real big trouble facing the Australians. Going by the tag of Australia, their junior team couldn't do much against India in this U19 World Cup. Both the time India faced them, Aussies were crushed easily. It was a one-sided affair in both the matches.

Talking about Dravid's contribution in the win, Rahane added, "They have been really lucky to have Rahul (Dravid) bhai as coach and mentor, plus all the support staff as well. They have been working really hard for the last one and a half years. I am really happy. Its a very proud moment for all of us."

Rahane has himself played under Dravid for a long time. The Indian middle-order batsman got assistance from the former India captain Dravid to shape his career. They had shared dressing room together playing for the same IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Indian Premier League (IPL).
