India batsman Rohit Sharma on Friday (February 2) shared a special message for India U-19 squad ahead of their all-important final clash against Australia in the ongoing Youth World Cup.

The Prithvi Shaw led India U-19 side have recorded massive victories in all of their 3 group matches against Australia, Papua New Guinea and Zimbabwe. Moreover, they have thrashed Bangladesh U-19 in the quarter-final clash by 131 runs before annihilating Pakistan in the semi-final by 203 runs.

In a video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on their official Twitter page, Rohit can be seen acknowledging the U-19 boys’ stellar show in the showpiece event and also extending wishes on the behalf of senior India team.

"Throughout the Test series, we have been following their journey till the final. They have played some really good cricket", Rohit quoted in the minute long video.

India’s ODI vice-captain also highlighted the significance of legendary Rahul Dravid, who has been mentoring the U-19 side for past two years.

"We always thought this team has something special in them with Rahul Dravid being the coach. Every game they have played they have destroyed the opposition", Sharma said.

"Fast bowling has been brilliant. Hope they do the same in the final. Entire Indian cricket team is watching them play here, on behalf of the full squad we can hope they can bring the cup back to India", he added.
