The Surrey and England speedster – Tom Curran returned with figures of 5/35 to help England crush Australia by 12 runs in the fifth and the final One-Day International (ODI) at the Perth Stadium here on Sunday. With this triumph, England completed 4-1 ODI series victory in Australia.

He did not have a good outing in the Test series, however, his pace paid dividence in the ODI series against Australia. His bowling effort was key in England's 4-1 series victory against Australia who by their own standards have had a rough time since the last 12 months in colored clothes.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, Curran said, “It's been crazy, really. It's been a rollercoaster, but that's what happens. I'm just trying to take it all in, been an unbelievable couple of months.”

It was his maiden five-wicket haul in the limited overs format. Looking back at his Australian tour, Curran said it has been a whirlwind few months for him. He further said “It’s very frustrating” to watch the first part of the series from the sidelines.

He added, “It is very frustrating, but that's a great place to be as a side. If you are getting left out and are happy about that, don't think the international sport is the place for you. That's a motivator for you.”

The 22-year-old went to further added on the same, “That's why we train as players, you want to be asked to perform in the big moments and involved when it can go either way. That's when you get the most satisfaction. What a stadium, what a day and what a team to be a part of.”

Curran signed off by saying, “It was just about attacking the stumps, getting it going both ways and challenging both edges. We look to attack as a team, and taking wickets was our only way of winning the game.”
