U19 World Cup: Day 11: Round up

There were a total of 3 matches played today in the ICC U19 World Cup 2018. 

While the games between Kenya and Sri Lanka and West Indies and Ireland were off less importance, the quarterfinal game between England and Australia was the best of the lot. 

Sri Lanka U19 vs Kenya U19, Plate Quarter-Final 3 

SL U19 manages to score the second highest total of this edition of the campaign. They piled up 419 for 4 with their top order batter Hasitha Boyagoda scoring 191 to trigger them to the score. 

Kenya, in their chase, were bowled out for 108 in 35.5 overs with Thomas Ochieng top-scoring with 45 while there was another top-order failure. Hareen Buddhila picked up four wickets, conceding just 27 in his quota of overs. Sri Lanka's 311-run victory was the joint second biggest in Youth ODIs in terms of runs.

Sri Lanka 419/4 in 50 overs (Hasitha Boyagoda 191) beat Kenya 108 in 35.5 overs (Thomas Ochieng 45; Hareen Buddhila 4-27) by 311 runs.

Windies U19 vs Ireland U19, Plate Quarter-Final 4

Windies U19 team put up an impressive show to get past Ireland. An impressive batting display from the Irish team took them to 278 for 8 in their stipulated 50 overs. 

Windies then went past the score in 48.2 overs with their batsmen joining hands to help them win.

Brief scores: 

Ireland 278/8 in 50 overs (Neil Rock 91, Harry Tector 69; Jeavor Royal 3-59) lost to Windies 281/6 in 48.2 overs (Bhaskar Yadram 53, Emmanuel Stewart 50, Nyeem Young 55*; Max Neville 2-53) by four wickets.
