Dhananjaya de Silva called for remaining Tri-series matches in Bangladesh

Sri Lankan batting all-rounder –Dhananjaya de Silva has been named on Tuesday (January 23) as a replacement for Kusal Perera for the ongoing Tri-nation series, involving Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

Although, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is yet to decide if Perera will continue to stay with the team in Bangladesh for his availability in the upcoming Test series against the hosts after he sustained a side strain during Sunday’s match against Zimbabwe.

Dhananjaya has played 17 ODIs, 7 T20Is and 11 Tests for Sri Lanka, who next play Bangladesh on Thursday, while the final of the Tri-series to be held at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on 27 January.

After the conclusion of the Tri-series, Sri Lanka will play two Tests against Bangladesh, starting on January 31, followed by two T20Is.
