WBBL: Melbourne derby sees a tied contest

Both teams scored 118 in their allotted 20 overs.

The women team of Melbourne Stars and Renegades played out the first game of the Womens Big Bash League. The Melbourne Starts batters huffed and puffed their way to 118. 

The second half of the match had the real story of the contest.  The Stars bowlers then pulled things back with wickets at regular intervals as the match ended on a draw. 

The Renegades batters were restricted at 118  by the opposition as the match ended in a draw. 

The match then went on to a Super over which was won by the Melbourne Stars.
