Sourav Ganguly was impressed by the Indian speedster Kamlesh Nagarkoti after his impressive show thus far in the U19 World Cup.
Nagarkoti has been bowling consistently above 140 kph and in the 37th over of India’s opening game against Australia, the teenager bowled a delivery which was clocked at 149kph. His average speed was 143.6 kph during the game.
“Vo bana fast bowling ke liye hai”, says his coach Surendra Rathore, who describes his relationship with Nagarkoti more as father-son rather than that of a coach and a student.
Seeing his impressive performance in the ongoing World Cup, Ganguly was quick to tweet and let the likes of Virat Kohli and the Indian Cricket Board about him being an impressive prospect for the future.
Here is what he tweeted.
