Australian spinner Arjun Nair suspended for a suspect bowling action

Young mystery spinner –Arjun Nair, who represents his trade for Sydney Thunder in the KFC Big Bash League (BBL), has been suspended from bowling from the Australian domestic circuit for three months for a suspect bowling action after undergoing testing of his action at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane.

The match-officials reported Nair’s bowling action during his Team’s BBL game against Hobart Hurricanes on December 30.

Then, the 19-year-old went on a Testing for his action and found with a "markedly different" action, which means he breach Cricket Australia’s protocol, and according to which he will face at least 90 days ban from bowling.

Sydney Thunder general manager Lee Germon told Cricket Australia’s website, “Arjun is a talented and popular member of our club. We believe he will have a long and successful career with Sydney Thunder and shall support him through this process.”

Despite the suspension, Nair will continue to play in BBL for Sydney Thunder, but only as a batsman, will play next against the Melbourne Stars.
