U19 World Cup 2018: Day 7 Roundup

The ICC U19 World Cup 2018 completes its first week today. There were three matches played in the championship today. Pakistan and Australia emerged as the victorious teams in the contest. 

Sri Lanka U19 vs Pakistan U19

In the first of the two matches, a young Pakistan U19 team toppled Sri Lanka. Winning the toss Pakistan elected to bowl first and dismissed Sri Lanka for 188. 

The batsmen then were responsible enough to chase down the total today with 3 wickets to spare.

Pakistan 190 for 7 (Zaryab 59, Rashmika 3-47) beat Sri Lanka 188 (Daniel 53, Shafqat 3-29, Afridi 2-41) by three wickets

Australia U19 vs Papua New Guinea U19

In the second match, Australia piled up 370 and dismissed PNG for just 59 thereby winning the team by 312 runs to register one of the biggest wins of the competition so far.  Aussie skipper Jason Sangha contributed to the team's total with 88 runs.
