Mumbai Cricket Team named Aditya Tare as Captain for the Super League of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Twenty20 Trophy, which is scheduled to start from January 21 in Kolkata.

On Tuesday, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) announced a 16-member Mumbai squad for the Super League with wicketkeeper-batsman Aditya Tare to lead the site in the T20 domestic tournament.

The squad did not have any surprises as all names were expected - Dhawal Kulkarni, opener Jay Bista, batsmen Akhil Herwadkar, Surya Kumar Yadav, Shardul Thakur and Siddesh Lad.

Ahead of the Super League, Mumbai found big boost as their star player Shreyas Iyer, who has recovered from a hamstring injury, also returned to the squad.

Baroda and Mumbai have qualified from the West Zone for the Super League, as Mumbai won two while Baroda emerged victorious in all the four games at the zonal level.
