Bowling fast is Hasan Ali's real strength, says Sarfraz Ahmed

Pakistan captain –Sarfraz Ahmed, on Friday, lavished praise on his Young right-arm fast bowler Hasan Ali, who becomes world's best ODI bowler within 17 months of the international debut, impressing with the rapid progress of Hassan towards international arena.

According to a report in Business Recorder, Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed said that bowling fast is one of the key reasons why Hasan Ali has been successful in the last one year and has rose unpresumably. 

Speaking at a press conference in Wellington, Sarfraz told reporters, “I think his main strength is bowling faster. The line and length is very good, as well as he is very fit and is improving day by day.”

Sarfraz went to further added that the head coach Mickey Arthur’s advice also helped Hasan a lot, which helped him to become the No.1 One Day International (ODI) bowler in the ICC rankings. He further added, “He is listening to his coach [and] that’s the reason he is improving rapidly.”

It is known that the bowling attack is always the main strength of Pakistan, and Sarfraz also admitted that, saying his pacers are able to ‘restrict’ the New Zealand batters in the ongoing limited overs series.

He concluded by saying, “If you see our bowling line up since Champions Trophy, our bowling has been the main strength, so we will hopefully restrict the New Zealand batting side as well.”

New Zealand took a 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series by winning first ODI by D/L method at Basin Reserves against Pakistan. The second ODI is scheduled to play at Saxton Oval, Nelson on 9 January followed by a three-match T20I series.
