Colin Munro’s record 3rd T20I century takes him to the top of ICC rankings; Virat slips to 3rd place

Jasprit Bumrah slips to fourth place in the ICC T20I rankings.

Colin Munro scored a world record third century in T20Is

The latest ICC T20I rankings have brought good news for New Zealand, as Colin Munro and Ish Sodhi both achieved career best no.1 rankings. Their performances in the recently concluded T20I series against West Indies warranted this change.

The duo of Munro and Sodhi second New Zealand pair after Brendon McCullum and Daniel Vettori to claim the top batting and bowling positions in T20Is at the same time

Virat Kohli slipped to no.3 in the batting rankings due to Munro’s elevation. Colin Munro had a great T20I series against West Indies, where he scored his third T20I century, becoming the first batsman to do so in T20I cricket history. He had previously scored 66 in 30 balls and 53 in 48 balls in the previous two matches.
