Both India and Pakistan are cricket crazy nations and fans want to see cricket between their respective teams. But the political tension between the two warring nations has put a full stop to any chances of cricket between the arch rivals.

Former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar was also unhappy with the political tensions dictating terms of cricket between the neighboring countries. He expressed his views on Twitter and wrote, “Its unfortunate that the best cricket teams of the world #Pakistan & #India are not playing matches against each other and r just doing politics instead.”

Recently, the Minister of External Affairs of India, Sushma Swaraj had made it clear that there will be no bilateral cricket ties between India and Pakistan unless Pakistan stops the cross border terrorism.

Swaraj was also asked about the India playing Pakistan neutral venues. Responding to the question, she confirmed that unless Pakistan stopped cross-border terrorism and firing, their will be no cricketing relations with Pakistan.

She clarified that terrorism and cricket can't go hand in hand.
