Former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq has rated Pakistan Super League (PSL) over Indian Premier League (IPL) in terms of quality. Razzaq thinks PSL has a better standard the IPL.

He backed the PSL and said, “PSL is a good standard and probably better than IPL but when you have played International cricket against top players, then PSL is a little easy for us to play,” he said.

However, the 38-year-old expressed a little disappointment over being ignored for the PSL. No franchise has shown interest for the veteran cricketer, despite being in the draft. Though he thinks there is a chance of him being picked in the next season if he proves his fitness.

“If I am able to perform and prove my fitness, then I am hopeful of participating in the next PSL as a player,” he had said.

Razzaq also talked about whether the discarded players Salman Butt and Mohammed Asif should play again for Pakistan cricket or not. He believes both the cricketers should at least be featured in PSL since they’ve already made a comeback in domestic cricket and have been doing well consistently.

“I believe Asif and Salman should be given a chance in PSL to see how they perform,” said Razzaq. “I had some hopes of playing in the PSL but unfortunately I did not get a good response to that,” he said.
