South Africa tour will be the real test for Kohli, says Bishan Singh Bedi

India will be playing South Africa in a series of three Tests from January 2018.

The Indian Cricket Team has already reached South Africa to take on the mighty Proteas on a full tour of 3 Test matches, 6 One Day Internationals and 3 T20Is. While team India looks forward to continue their current form, spin legend Bishen Singh Bedi feels that it won’t be as easy for the Indian team.

Bishen Singh Bedi believes that Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian Cricket Team, will face some real competition in the upcoming tour of South Africa which will put his batting and captaincy skills under scanner.

The legendary spinner praised Indian Olympic medallist shuttler PV Sindhu for her success at the International level against all world class players. Comparing her success with that of Kohli's, he feels that Virat Kohli would be struggling to achieve what Sindhu has achieved over the years.

According to Bedi, Virat Kohli will face a tough challenge against the Proteas bowling line up in India's tour of South Africa. He said, “Sindhu has achieved a lot over the years and I dare Virat Kohli would be struggling.”

“She has been competing with the best of the world, but Kohli will now be competition with the best of world in South Africa. The tour of South Africa will be a test for Kohli,” added the former Indian captain.

India’s tour of South Africa will begin with 3 Test match series starting on January 5th 2018, in Newlands, Cape Town.
