The end of 2017 was filled with the news and pictures of the biggest wedding India has seen in the recent times. The Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma wedding proved to be the event that media was waiting for as it captured every headline in every media house.
The couple married in a secret ceremony on Italy, attended by close friends and family. They gave two receptions, one each in Delhi- for family and friends and in Mumbai- for the Indian cricket team, Bollywood and industrialists.
In Virat Kohli’s absence, Rohit Sharma helmed the Indian cricket team during the limited overs leg of the Sri Lanka series and led India to 2-1 win in ODIs and 3-0 in T20I series.
Rohit celebrated two years of marriage recently and gifted a double hundred to his wife Ritika during the Mohali ODI.
Recently talking to Hindustan Times, he said, “Marriage changes you completely.”
On being asked if marriage will change or calm down Virat Kohli, Rohit laughed and said “It is very difficult to say… I don’t know much, probably only in South Africa I can say. (laughs)… it depends individually.”
Rohit said, “I guess so, I don’t know what it is going to be like for him, but I wish them good luck ahead because it is the most wonderful thing that can happen to an individual. I just wish them all the happiness ahead.”
