Sarfraz Ahmed is all set to lead Pakistan in a limited overs series against New Zealand.  Prior to the series the Pakistan skipper is unfazed by injury concerns. Key players Junaid Khan, Usman Shinwari and Imad Wasim are injured but the Pakistan skipper doesn’t seem to be too worried about this issue. Sarfraz feels despite the injury concerns Pakistan is still well placed to challenge New Zealand in their home conditions.

It`s unfortunate that three of our key bowlers are injured but we still have good bowlers who can trouble New Zealand. We have done the best preparation for the tour and all the players are in good form so we will do our best on the New Zealand tour” quoted Sarfraz Ahmed.

Sarfraz added that every player in the squad has the experience of playing in New Zealand except Fakhar Zaman. The players are pretty much aware of the challenges that will come their way on the tour. He expects the batting to come good in the tough conditions down under. The series commences with the first ODI to be played on January 6.

“Apart from opener Fakhar Zaman, all other players have played in New Zealand before so they know about the tough conditions and about the New Zealand team. So we are ready for the challenges. We have a strong bowling unit and I am sure that the batting will also come good in tough conditions in New Zealand,” concluded Sarfraz.
