India crushed Sri Lanka in the Twenty-20 international series, completing a clean-sweep over the islanders by beating them in the third and final T20I at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (December 24). Following the 5-wicket victory, Indian players were seen donning Santa caps and clicking pictures.
The likes of KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Hardik Pandya and Mohammad Siraj were spotted in a huddle with their Santa caps which certainly brought Christmas cheer for their fans.
However, cricket’s governing body i.e. the International Cricket Council (ICC) was in a mood to troll the Indian cricketers. Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, ICC posted an image of the above-mentioned players and captioned it as, “India wearing their new hats for fielding”.
