Rashid Khan has a proud moment on Twitter

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan has impressed cricketers from all around the cricket circle. His new admirer is former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist. 

The 19-year-old Rashid won man-of-the-match (MOM) on his debut in Australia's Big Bash League (BBL).  He is the first cricketer from his country to play BBL. 

Rashid, playing for Adelaide Strikers picked up 2/22 as they beat Sydney Thunder by 53 runs in Adelaide late Friday..

More than the MOM award, Rashid was happy after seeing Gilchrist's display picture on Twitter. The former Aussie wicket-keeper has kept Khan's picture as profile picture after his brilliant performance on the debut.

The leggie wrote, "Very proud moment when your favourite wkt keeper Batsman have your pic on his Profile .Its like dream can’t control myself to watch it again and again @gilly381 ????????????????????????"

The Afghani spinner happy after making his country and family proud. While talking to reports in his debut BBL match, he said, "It means a lot to Afghanistan to play in such a big league, and to then to perform and get player of the match – it was a dream to play in this league, so it's a proud moment for my country, for me, for my family."
