Two time IPL champions in 2010 and 2011, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be making their much awaited return to the IPL fold after serving the two year suspension for spot fixing scandal.

On December 22, Chennai Super Kings launched their new team jersey for the upcoming IPL 2018. Muthoot finance has become their main sponsors, replacing telecom company Aircel.

CSK along with Rajasthan Royals will replace the Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Supergiant teams, who were added to the mix in place of CSK and RR. The Chennai franchise has already made it clear that they want their icon player MS Dhoni back in the mix along with Suresh Raina.

They were the most vocal supporters of the player retention policies put forth and lobbied the IPL governing council for retaining minimum five players via a mix of player retentions and Right-to-Match cards.
