Pakistan’s pace spearhead Junaid Khan, on Tuesday,  was ruled out for six weeks with a foot fracture that means he will not available for his team’s next month’s New Zealand tour.

In the tour of New Zealand, Pakistan set to play five One Day Internationals and threeT20 Internationals, starting with the One-day practice match at Saxton Oval, Nelson on January 3, 2018.

The 27-year- old left-arm pacer Junaid, who sustained the foot injury during the Bangladesh Premier League this month, played a vital role in Pakistan’s historic  ICC Champions Trophy win in June this year, taking eight wickets in four games.

Haroon Rasheed, the director of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) told Wisden Pakistan, “Junaid suffered a hairline fracture in his left foot which will take six weeks to heal.”

Sarfraz Ahmed-led Pakistan team will leave for New Zealand on December 27, and their limited overs tour will start with the first ODI in Wellington on January 6, 2018.
