Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen, who is currently covering the Ashes series as a commentator in Australia, was ruthlessly trolled by the English supporter on micro-blogging site Twitter on December 18 (Monday).
Seeing the recent misery of England team in the iconic Ashes series, Pietersen posted an image of skipper Joe Root with a toy gun on his hand and captioned it as: “Captain Fantastic”.

This comes after England were looking dangerously close to losing the third Test in Perth, with they eventually lost by an innings and 41 runs in the second session of the fifth day. Consequently, Australia retained the urn and Steve Smith won his second Man of the Match award in three Tests this series.
However, the sarcastic post of Kevin Pietersen didn’t go down well with the anguish England fans as they trolled him back brutally.
Here’s how they reacted:
Sarcasm much?

You r trolling him...
Shame on you KP
Sad to see this thing
You should give your support..????
Have a very good look at yourself Kevin. It's so easy as a Saffa to distance yourself from the current set up but by abusing our captain, you're reinforcing the idea that you shouldn't have qualified.

I’m all for criticising the players they haven’t played well at all, but surely you should be helping them & not acting like a knob towards them. This is why you were never brought back into the team. Get a one way ticket and stay in oz

Used to be a massive fan, KP. However, the petulance and disrespect you've shown over the last couple of months is embarrassing. Have a look at yourself.

They say #sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. A shame #KP can't rein in his feelings of bitterness #JoeRoot will return. You won't #KP

Given the fact that Root has amassed only 176 runs in three Tests thus far, he certainly has infuriated many of his fans and well-wishers. In contrast, his counterpart, Steve Smith, has 426 runs against his name in four innings, including a century and an astonishing 239 runs scored in the first innings of the Perth Test.
