Hasan Ali - the number one fast bowler in the limited overs cricket,  was signed by the Hong Kong Island United franchise for the next season of the Hong Kong T20 Blitz - a T20 league in Hong Kong.

On 15 December, HKI United franchise announced the news on their official Twitter handle, “We are proud to announce that the world’s number one limited overs bowler is joining Hong Kong Island United! He is officially a part of the United Family now. Welcome to HKI United [Hasan]!”

Amna T Naqvi, the owner of Islamabad United, said on Hasan’ signing, “Hasan is an exciting prospect but he isn’t the only big name we are bringing in this year. Hong Kong Island United has a lot more to offer and you will find out soon why I say that.”

Meanwhile, Amna’ husband said, “Our aim is to keep bringing in names that can help local talent develop. Last year we went for experience, this year we have gone for the youthful exuberance of Hasan. He can bring a new flavor to Hong Kong.”
