Virat Kohli recently revealed the wedding planners behind his wedding. The couple, Virat and Anushka Sharma got hitched in Tuscany, Italy on 11th December.

His wedding looked perfect from what pictures and videos circulated on the internet. It would have surely turned into a dream wedding for many. But, the dream wedding would have turned into a nightmare, had the wedding planners not made major changes in the plan. 

By what looks from outside, everything must be perfectly arranged and the wedding might have taken off and landed as per expectations. Yes, it did, but after a lot of fine-tuning. The changes made in the end ensured that things went smoothly.

When things seemed to be going well before the wedding, weather came into the picture. If the weather had turned bad, the whole wedding would have become impossible to salvage.

In an exclusive interview with BBC, award-winning wedding designer Devika Narain, who was key wedding planner of the ceremonies, recalled the moment when they forgot to take the weather into consideration.

Devika narrated that the month of December ice falls during the winter season in Italy. Hence, on the wedding day, the planners woke up to see snow all around. Soon, by afternoon, the ice started dripping, creating some problems for the organizers. They had to quickly shift the ceremonies from the outside courtyard to the indoor courtyard.

“It is winters here (in Italy) and nobody gets married in the winters here. On the morning of the wedding day, we all woke up to a completely white landscape and the dew had frozen. And by noon, it was dripping. The outdoors function had to be moved to an indoor courtyard,” quoted Devika.
